About Our Menu

Our menu is small - but caters for all dietary requirements. We are a seaside destination cafe, not an inner city brunch eatery, hence we have shied away from options like 'eggs benedict', instead we offer fresh fruit and muesli, bagels with a selection of accompaniments, Andrew's mince on toast (a firm favorite), beautiful fresh salads - either with halloumi or our seared beef, a daily home-made pie and of course our fish and chips which we either deep fry in a tempura beer batter or bake in the oven with lemon and butter. All meals are served with either coleslaw or salad and we pride ourselves on our home-made dressings.

We always have a seasonal daily special, this could be a summer platter in the warmer months, pulled pork on a brioche bun or a delicious soup on colder days. We offer a snack menu - polenta fries, deep fried Camembert with home-made pickles or salt and pepper squid. Again these change seasonally - often in the summer months we take the "less is best" option as when we are very busy we know what we offer we can do well.

Cabinet Food & Baking

Our cabinet food also changes daily, we always have a fresh green salad for people in a hurry, vegetarian options as well as good old fashioned delights such as scotch eggs, or we create something from the fresh produce the locals kindly bring to us. The girls all love baking and again pride themselves in making some gorgeous creation. We now tend to make most of our baking gluten free.

We are known for our generous savory scones which are a meal in themselves and we also bake muffins daily. The lemonade scone with cream and jam is becoming a favorite with our regular customers.

To summarize, we have a blackboard menu - this doesn't change, a daily special creation, and cabinet food which changes according to seasonal produce.
