This page explains what personal information our website collects, why, and what we do with it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Booking and dinner requests
When you send a group booking request or reserve dinner seats, we collect your name, email address and, for group bookings, your phone number, the date, time, group size and any notes you add.
The website sends these details straight to our café email inbox so we can confirm your booking. The website itself doesn’t keep a copy. We only use your details to reply to you and manage your booking, and we don’t share them with anyone else or use them for marketing.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending them. Turnstile may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical information (such as your IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

- The map on our homepage is provided by Google Maps, which may set cookies. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Photos from our Instagram are loaded from Instagram’s servers.
- Weather, tide, sea-temperature and opening-hours information is fetched by our website from Google, LINZ and NOAA. No information about you is sent with these requests.
Cookies and storage
Our website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. If you close the announcement bar, your browser remembers that so the same announcement doesn’t show again. This stays on your device.
